Stellar

Stellar black holes are black hole that have 3-100 solar masses, forming from dying stars' supernovae.

Intermediate

This class of black holes were only recently discovered, and is annywhere between 100-10000 black holes. They are theorized to form from the merging of many stellar black holes.

Supermassive

These black holes can be any mass above 10000 solar masses and black holes can reach millions of solar masses. The largest known black holes reach more than 15 billion solar masses. They are found in the centers of galaxies, known as quasars.
